Set in one of the island’s famous old plantation houses, Bagatelle Great House, afternoon tea at Chatters is a blissful way to while away a sultry afternoon in old-world colonial splendour.
Arrive early to give yourself enough time to explore the wonderfully manicured grounds and to admire this exquisite old house which dates back to the 1600s, before sitting down to a perfect blend of traditional English high tea with hints of the Caribbean.
Enjoy a delicious three course British afternoon tea. A first course of sandwiches and savouries, followed by a delectable selection of cake, butter tarts, squares and other delights and for third course fresh warm scones with strawberries and cream, all served with a choice of tea and coffee and beautifully presented on delicate bone china in Victorian styled surroundings - sublime!
Chatters is open Wednesday to Saturday from 1-5pm, and reservations are encouraged.
