The museum is slightly hauntingly beautiful and is housed in the Garrison’s old prison and is laid out in prison cells.

It is a great historical area to investigate and the exhibits range from natural history, art gallery, Barbados’ slavery routes to Africa, a great place to learn about the island’s past, once housing the former military prison of St. Ann's Garrison.
