Barbados - the Caribbean Island that shelters itself
Sheltered by the Atlantic Ocean’s swell, the West Coast of Barbados offers holiday goers gentle currents which make it the perfect spot for long romantic walks, magical dinners and opportunities to see natural wildlife in the warm crystal clear waters. For relaxing days and sunsets, here are just a few of our favourite beaches that all perfectly complement our host of villas:
Mullins Bay
One of the more popular beaches on the West Coast, Mullins Bay offers perfectly calm waters ideal for swimming as well as a whole host of watersports ideal for the active adventurer in you.
Paynes Bay
Arguably the most beautiful beach on the entire West Coast of Barbados, Paynes Bay offers a colourful selection of wildlife which makes it great for snorkelling and the northern part of the beach is more secluded, giving beach lovers a slightly more intimate and picturesque setting.
Gibbes Beach
The pristine shores of Gibbes Beach have made it an incredibly popular spot for those ‘in the know’. With a world-class stretch of golden sand, this hidden gem is very quiet during the off-season so you might have the entire beach to yourself.
Whether it’s calm relaxation you’re looking for, swimming with wildlife or even surfing in the glorious waters, our team of friendly staff at Virgo Villas are always on hand to help you make the most of your stay at our rental villas in Barbados.
